Greenville  sign lets you know you are in the heart
of moose country!

Clara and I went to Rockwood for a wildlife cruise the first day.  The next day we headed for Baxter State Park.

Baxter State Park was the end of our journey
for the day.  This sign says we've made it!


Huge driftwood stumps dot the shores of 
lakes and bogs in northern Maine.

Everywhere we went there was beautiful Maine
scenery and moose bogs full of tracks, if not moose!

This area seemed almost enchanted, both eerie
and beautiful.


These massive moose bogs were identifiable
from great distances, mostly by the stands of
dead trees.


Wildflowers were everywhere, along the
roadsides, especially around the moose
bogs!
