MOOSELAND TOURS & GIFTS  --  207-998-2198  --  ASK ABOUT "ON YOUR OWN" GUIDE

photo of a young moose crossing the road in front of cars at dusk

This young moose made it safely.  Many don't.  Especially in areas marked with moose warning signs, go a little slower and be ready to stop!

Cow moose in Greenville, Maine

This young cow was dining on some brush that had been cut beside the road.  We watched as she patiently stripped the leaves off the branches.  Photo taken on Lily Bay Road, Greenville, Maine.

When I started trying to photograph moose my pictures were ALL out of focus or were the back of them disappearing into the brush! My biggest problem was I would forget to focus. Then, too, it was hard to stop shaking. I would get SO excited. Well, I can't say I'm any less excited. I get a rush every time! But somewhere along the line I finally made the link from my brain to my hands/camera, and most days I return with useable pictures. (I did say, most days!)

To me moose are magnificent creatures, although some are a little goofy looking, and I thoroughly enjoy my time moose watching.

I recently made a three day trip to Greenville, Maine. While there I thoroughly enjoyed a wildlife cruise, and was especially pleased to see several moose in the water and came home with lots of great new moose photos!
