Lucky Morning, Cont'd
Two bull moose resting after fighting.
The battle is over and the two bulls stand, almost dazed, as if they were contemplating what to do next.  (Note the reddish tinge on the shoulder/hump area on the moose on left)

This majestic bull was the winner.
This bull won the fight and looks on majestically as the other bull leaves.

The winning moose runs into the woods.
Then he turned and trotted off into the woods...

Then the winning bull returns with a large cow moose and her calf.
and returned within seconds with a large cow moose in front of him. (Her calf was trailing behind, staying out of the way in the woods.)

young bull and cow moose
In the meantime, the younger bull moose seen on the first page of this series, and the younger cow moose also seen in the first picture, left to their own resources were entertaining themselves!
