Greenville Maine Moose Tour ***3-HR Wildlife Cruise from The Birches included ***Overnight accomodations in Greenville included Fares

motel,
Kineo View Motor Lodge just
outside of Greenville, we will go into Greenville and "scatter at
will".
There are many wonderful shops and restaurants, usually a craft fair or
community yard sale... always something going on! After
eating lunch, shopping, walking around taking pictures... one can
always sit near the waterfront and watch the boats and perhaps sea
planes coming and going. By 3:00 I will pick everyone up at the
predetermined spot and drive up to Rockwood where we catch the 4 pm
Wildlife Cruise out of The Birches.
leave Greenville: 3 pm arrive Rockwood: 3:45 pm Wildlife Cruise from the Birches from 4-7 pm Return to Greenville for dinner By
making the trip an
overnight, we can all enjoy our evening meal, relax and even ride out
to the
DOT to see how many moose are in the bog between the
road and the DOT yard before we return to the motel for the night.
It's not unusual to see 9 or 10 moose there.
Daylight run out to the DOT to see moose... After
a good night's rest in a comfortable bed, I usually head back to the
DOT about daybreak (4-5am). You can sleep in or go with me to
watch
the moose wander off. Then it will be time for breakfast!
We
can have a little breakfast in the motel dining room, or go into town
and have a big breakfast by the waterfront... these minor details I'll
leave to popular vote. After checking out we'll head back
to
Norway...
rested,
having seen more moose than we would have otherwise! I like
it!

In September!
We are going up to
Greenville again around the middle of September. The week of
September 14th-19th is our target zone. We'll have a better
chance for photos of bulls w/full racks and possibly some early fall
foliage, without being there during the rut & hunting season. If you are interested in the September trip PLEASE talk with us now while we are in the planning stages so we may be able to work out details that will work for you! The fall trip will be two nights, so the fare will be more, depending on how many are going. We will probably take a 2 HR JEEP TOUR from the Birches instead of, or possibly in addition to the wildlife cruise. A lot depends on the weather.
