The elk's antlers are in velvet too.

On our return trip, we stopped at the elk farm and Geri Lynn captured this handsome specimen... I'm not sure how she got him to make this face!

Great shots, Geri Lynn!

Just call this bull elk funny face!

    Geri Lynn's first moose
Geri Lynn Smith was excited... She had all her camera equipment with her,  but said she just wanted to "see" one.  Her plan was to just look at the first one.

Well, as you can see, she changed her mind when we came across this bull moose.  He's still handsome even though he's shedding his winter coat, and he already has a good start on the antlers! (antlers are still in velvet until late summer)

He was fairly cooperative and hung around while she shot a whole roll of film!

Finally, enough was enough and he decided to leave...

Then we managed to find this yearling, who was not so willing to Geri Lynn managed to get one picture of this yearling. pose.  One quick look at us and he left!
