 In Search of Big Foot...
An exciting new adventure  --  A fun-filled "expedition"
Saturdays August 1st or 8th    &    Sundays August 2nd or 9th

The Big Foot tour is by reservation only.
As long and you have the three fare minimum you may make reservations for other dates which are more convenient to you.  Also,  if you have a group of 4-6 people who want to do this tour together please inquire about a group discount.

In search of  Big Foot is a fun-filled "expedition" of sorts over the Maine hills and through the woods! Over the years there have been many reported sightings of Big Foot... yes, even in Maine.  While the reports are real, the hills & woods are real, the question remains... is Big Foot real?

A wise person once said  "you see what you look for" and this I've found is true.  I look for beauty and  I see it everywhere.  I look for moose and, yes, we usually do see them!  So who knows?  If we LOOK for Big Foot perhaps we'll see him too!

Note the choice of Tour Departure times are:
  • 5 am for the "I want to go in daylight" passengers.  We'll start with a pancake breakfast at Shaners Restaurant and leave by 6 am.  Pancake breakfast included in price of tour.
  • 3 am for the "I'm ready, let's go... why waste time... I want to be out there before daylight!!" passengers.  We'll do a drive thru at Tim Horton's or Dunkin Donuts... (Breakfast sandwich or bagel /coffee/approx. $5 value  included in price of tour) and we'll be off!  This trip should be thrilling even if we don't see Bigfoot , simply because of the increased probability of seeing more wildlife, and morning mists and sunrises are gorgeous!

The tour  will be taken in our 8 passenger Chevy van (pictured above), which has plenty of leg room and cargo space.  We will have an ice filled cooler along for your lunches and cold drinks. Bottled water will be provided.  We will travel to  and through some of the areas where Big Foot sightings have been reported in the past.  Most of this area is what I refer to as "back country" with few signs of human habitation.  (no street lights, no condos, no WM stores)

Along the way, as we get closer to the  area, I plan to stop in several places where everyone can get out to glass the slopes, ledges, high "meadows", cutovers, & bogs, or collect specimens.  When stopped we will at all times be near the van and safely off the road.  For safety sake we are not going to be hiking off into the woods or wading through any bogs.

Once in the "back country" I will stop anywhere we think looks interesting... and of course we will be looking for tracks!  If anyone finds tracks of  interest I have several jars w/quick set plaster and some bottles of water so we can mix it up and make casts of the tracks to take back.  I am going to provide a few small items like rulers, note pads, pencils to name a few, so you can keep track of your finds, measurements of tracks, locations, etc..

This should be a fun adventure with our imaginations providing

at least half the excitement!

I do expect we will see a variety of wildlife as well.
